The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge
and skills
that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their
communities and to promote better relations between all people worldwide
through a framework of friendship and service.
Rotaract was founded in 1968 by Rotaract International, a worldwide organisation of service minded business and professional leaders.Today there are about 6,554 Rotary sponsored
Rotaract Clubs in some 116 countries around the world, with approximately 1,60,000 members.
